| | There have been many a night in my life where I just sit and think about thinking. I kind of get these out of world experiences, thinking about thinking. It's a gigantic look hole, really. It gives me a headache. I feel stupid now for what I just said, but sometimes the mere fact of the sheer freedom of my consciousness scares me. I mean what happens when I'm dead? The gift that Nature has given us is the gift of death. If all else fails in life, we will always receive relief. Mmhm.
So I go surfing on youtube and I find out that many people believe that makeup is used in order to hide who you are. I think that's only true for some people. But in fact, makeup makes you closer to who you REALLY are: it's intention is to make you look more beautiful. Now, the standards of beauty and self respect vary from person to person. So what one person feels good in another person would vomit to look at. Makeup conceals blemishes. It wasn't made to accentuate them. It accentuates the appealling parts of your face, the most animate and personal part of your body (unless you count, ehem, other things). It even creates beauty when there is none. So please, makeup doesn't hide who you are. It doesn't on the physical level and it doesn't on the spiritual level either.
I ran about a mile today and worked out. It felt good. ^^
